The Fairest Review

A while ago I read a book called The Fairest as a reviewer on NetGalley. After the author reached out to me and encouraging me to share my review to whether on my social medias or personal blog. I decided to share on my opinions on the book.

My thoughts on The Fairest

The Fairest is a very good and interesting story to read. The book take place in a strange and fairest world. The book focus on Mageia, a 17-year girl who despite an orphanage cares her for family and Gris, a 17-year-old prince from a royal family despite being seen as a joke in his family, he cares for others and is willing to stand up for what is right.

The first six chapters were okay, but after Chapter 7 this is where things start to get fascinating. The book gets more and more intense half through the story with the main villain. One thing I do really like about the book is the characters, especially the main characters. I like how the Gris and Mageia’s relationship develops in the book and how despite them being different from each other, they manage to work together and help each other out. I like how this book isn’t afraid to show mature themes and violence.

The Fairest is a wonderful story that will make you invest with the characters and its’ world building.

If you are interested in fantasy books I would recommend reading The Fairest because the story really caught my attention. The characters and the world building is really interesting. I could actually see this book being adapted to a comic book series or a TV show one day as this story is not afraid to take risk.
